Who says teaching is only done by "those who can't"?

From time to time I might come upon something in my work where, having done it, it occurs to me that it might be worth sharing (not to mention showing off) what I learned from it. So here goes.

Photoshop

Texturing: Wood Grain 201 - There are hundreds of tutorials on how to make wood using Photoshop filters and if you know anything about making textures, you know that the most common method relies on the Noise filter. This isn't that method. Additional tricks include the making of wood planks, aging the finish and adding realistic details.
